    Location: Icy volcano ranges

    --

A huge blizzard descended upon the line of active volcanoes, their tops bright and pouring dense smoke high into the air. It was here that the first discovered Bahamut laid, one of many outposts the demons of Hell stationed to search for the dragon of ice, one that turned all of the underworld into a frozen wasteland prior to his escape. The air was clear, though very humid. Braving the extreme temperatures here, whether it be scorching or freezing, was certainly not for the weak willed. There were no animals here. Not even a single sprout of plant life. All anyone could hear was the hollow gust that scarred and patrolled all over the mountains and volcanoes, flash freezing anything it caught in its path. Ice and lava stretched across the horizon from where Bahamut rested. Surely, not a single living being had ever dared to cross this treacherous landscape.

    Until now…

Bahamut stirred from its slumber, its eyes flickering and glowing with renewed flames. Footsteps. From above. Could it be the dragon Bahamut was designed to capture and drag back to Hell? The monster grumbled, lifting its head up from the chamber it had dug and buried itself in. Around 20metres underground. It saw no living being within this world before coming here, no knowledge of the beings that dwelled or what to even expect. All Bahamut could think of was destroy. Nothing more.

There it laid, being still and waiting for the right moment to strike. Its ears opened, arms and tail to the walls, trying to pick up the small vibrations again. Perhaps it was just an earthquake, or an avalanche. It stayed down here for many years, and Bahamut had learned the sounds of nature within these parts, from the rising geysers to the falling sea of snow and ice. If it picked up a noise unknown to it, it could be the time for the great monster to rise…

(So you know how this goes. I RP Bahamut and you RP your character. It is now your turn to post. Good luck!!)

Oh she had heard the rumors. A giant dragon that killed everything in its path. Other than that there wasn't much info on it. Nobody had confronted the beast and lived. Navi wanted to be the first to kill one. She didn't want to any fame or anything, she just saw it as a challenge and something to add to her resume for future clients. Packing up her sword and supplies inside her trench coat she started her search. Luckily she found a lead as to where one might be located and headed there.

Unfortunately the location this thing was suppose to be around was freaking cold. It didn't even make any sense to her. Here there was these volcanoes bellowing out smoke all over the place you'd think they'd keep this place warm. But noooo lava and ice seemed to mingle in this place in some sort of freakish symbiosis. Navi's eyes and hair were red a sign that she was keeping warm with her own powers. To bad it wasn't like really hot or anything. She wouldn't mind that. Her body could withstand very high temperatures. But no it was cold and the snow at her feat melted with each step she took.

Suddenly she felt something below her shift and she drew her sword out from her trench coat and lit it ablaze. Simultaneously wings made of fire burst from her back and she swiftly flew about 10 meters into the air in a matter of seconds. She was on high alert. It was totally possible it was nothing but with what she was hunting she couldn't take any chances. She would wait up there for about a minuet if nothing else happened and would proceed to lower back to the ground at the end of that minuet.

Suddenly there was nothing. It was odd for the vibrations to disappear like that. Could it be a distant avalanche? Or a slight shift in the plates? No. It was nothing Bahamut had felt before. There was movement above. Something not as natural. Something didn't belong...

Roughly a minute had passed before the chamber walls shook, and Bahamut's ears perked to that familiar sound again. It had enough. Perhaps this was the one it was created for, and that this Bahmut was one of the lucky ones to encounter it first. Then again it could be a false alarm. Emerging now would cause a huge scene and it may have to relocate. Curiosity won out in his mind, and, pulling its wings together, Bahamut readied, pumping its flames across its blackened body and lighting itself with life. It tried to do this as subtle as possible, hoping to catch the trespasser by surprise. The source was still on the ground, it thought, pulling its limbs closer, curling into a ball without causing much of a tremor.

After firing up, Bahamut released a roar and stretched all its limbs, the chamber giving way and collapsing everything above, within a diameter of 40metres, underground. In the same time, Bahamut cast a spell circle on where it stood, the insignia lighting the chamber a bit, and the mighty beast soared up and out of the pit, knocking away the rocks from its scales as it quickly rose to the air, 45metres above ground within a matter of seconds. Just as it popped out of surface, the chamber it left behind exploded, and lava spewed out like a huge spring, shooting molten rocks in all directions like some thunderous applause to the awakening of the grand beast.

With one beat of its wings, the snow around it began to melt, and Bahamut's glowing eyes searched around it, looking for the cause of all that noise -- if it ever survived the beast's rise at all.

Monster Battle!! [Navi vs. Bahamut] Empty Re: Monster Battle!! [Navi vs. Bahamut]

The ground below Navi shifted dramatically this time after she had landed and she quickly flew straight up. Time went in slow motion as she analyzed the ground below as she rose. She didn't get very far though as hardly a moment after a giant head burst forth from the ground rising faster than she was. She plopped a seat on the things head as it rose into the sky and she used her wings to keep from falling off. She was in its blind spot so it wouldn't even know she was there. Quite an amusing sight followed as the beast finished rising with a large portion of its body still sticking in the ground. Had it been on all fours she would assume the thing to be about 140 feet tall and it rose above ground about 45 meters which the feet equivalent was 147.6. It wasn't on all fours though, all its limbs were stretched as if it had jumped straight up out of the ground. It was significantly taller on its hind legs which still seemed to be under ground. The beast even seemed to flap its wings to keep upright or something. Or it was stretching them, she didn't know. To add to the crazy sight lava spewed out from under the dragon when it popped out of the earth. Seeing though as she was on top its head and the lava came out directly under the dragon it would hit the dragon and be directed harmlessly away from her. The dragon itself was pretty hot though. It seemed to have light itself on fire and if she had to guess the surface of his body was about 1000 degrees Celsius which warmed her up most pleasantly. Her own body could completely ignore heat up to as hot as she could create fire so this was just a pleasant relief from these stupid cold volcanoes.

Navi was most pleased. This was definitely the dragon she was looking for. There was no time to admire its dramatic entrance and beauty as she could admire that after it was dead. Flipping her sword around at lighting speed she drove the thing straight into its skull. Even if it had a skull as strong as titanium her blade would slip through it like a hot knife through butter. Even if it was significantly strong than titanium her blade would cut it would just wouldn't do so as easily. To her knowledge though there wasn't anything in existence significantly stronger than titanium. Titanium carbide sat on the Mohs scale of hardness at an impressive 9-9.5 very similar to where her tungsten carbide sword was at. The hardest thing on the scale was a special type of nanocrystalline diamond which sits at an undetermined greater than 10. Before that was discovered the hardest was Carbonado and regular diamonds which sat at 10. Navi would then circle the blade around and cut a circle hole in the things head. She did this extremely quickly and would finish before the large heavy beast could thrash its head or something. No doubt now it knew where she was at. If she was lucky she would have just cut a hole in the things brain but more than likely her sword wasn't long enough for that initial cut the blade being about 2 feet long. Assuming the big dragon didn't do anything to interfere with what she did next she would proceed to stab her sword inside the big 3 foot diameter 2 feet deep hole she had just put in the things head.
hopefully stabbing the brain this time seeing as her sword would now be 4 feet into its skull. If its brain wasn't fire proof the flame on her sword would burn the whole thing up in addition. The flame of her sword was at about 1500 degrees Celsius.

Monster Battle!! [Navi vs. Bahamut] Empty Re: Monster Battle!! [Navi vs. Bahamut]

It would have been foolish if Bahamut rose and just peered around with all the smaller bits of rock still stuck on it. This was especially so when, as the great beast rose, felt a strangely colder mass stuck on him like a drop of cold rain on warm scales. Could it be snow? Even so, it was rather distracting. Immediately after ascending to its height, Bahamut swung its body around from all the rocks and snow and looked around. As it did so, it caught sight of…

    A little girl?

No. This was not the one it was meant to kill. Why did she come here? Had his position been found? They ordered Bahamut to be discrete! It did not matter. There was a witness. It had to destroy her. Get rid of her. And then relocate.

There was no doubt the girl had intentions to cause harm. Her blade was drawn, and as Bahamut had ridden itself from the debris, she would no doubt be one of those flung off. As it did, Bahamut felt sharp, burning pain on its snout, near between its eyes. At first it was a mere sting, then it burned, deep into its muscles that it made it bellow. The roar of the monster was deafening at a range of 15metres, sitting on the very edge of any normal human hearing and could potentially disorient them. Should the roar struck the girl at this range, not only would it make her see the world whirling before her, but all she could hear for a while was high-pitched ringing. As for Bahamut itself, it had to be quote lucky. It would have been fatal, should Bahamut failed to acknowledge the cold ‘drop’ that was on it.

As she was in the air, Bahamut charged its claws and maw, ready to turn her immediately to ashes. If she was disoriented by the howl, it could end the fight quickly and slash her torso with both claws, one after the other. If not, Bahamut would just strike her once, its other claw ready to either strike her immediately if she blocked, or attempt to block her retaliation against the beast.

Navi completed part of her plan in cutting a hole in its head as it attempted to dislodge her. The thing roared loudly as she was flung off. She was a little disoriented by the things stupid ability to make loud noises with its lungs. Though a bit disoriented her goal was clear and with her perception of time moving in slow motion she had all the time in the world to focus. All her focus was on that hole she made and she teleported directly to it thrusting her sword into the center of the hole she created earlier. Had the dragon been aiming to claw her earlier it would completely miss seeing as she teleported back into its blind spot. Hopefully it wouldn't have a chance to retaliate as hopefully it would be dead by now. She was still a little disoriented and her ears were ringing so should the beast still be alive and claw at its own head to get her she wouldn't see it coming till last second. Luckily seeing as things were still progressing in slow motion she would be able to easily teleport out of the way and would have to reconsider her plan of attack.

Desperate, the beast swung its claw, as if to clung on the bit of hope that it could at least scratch her. A scratch. It was really all it needed to end this fight. The pain on its head worsened, its vision starting to blur. This girl. What had she done?

Just as Bahamut's claw met, she had disappeared into thin air. Then the rumbling flames ceased. All went quiet, making way for an unpleasant screech in its ears. The heat no longer brought warmth, as the beast quickly lost its grip on using its wings, its arms, pretty much anything. Slowly it fell back, a stream of red floating in the air above it. It felt nothing. There was no pain. It was cold, but strangely... very tranquil...

The beast crashed into the ground, the rocks below giving way like blankets of snow. Still it could move nothing. It was done. It's vision fading into the whiteness of the falling specks. The screech faded into deafness. It all looked so... beautiful. A scenic end to a mere monster, made for no other purpose than to fulfil an unreachable destiny.
